Connect enforePayPad (new generation)

Would you like to connect and configure an enforePayPad to your enforeComet? With enforePOS this is possible. In this How-To, we will show you how to do it.

Add enforePayPad as a Connected Device

To add the enforePayPad as a connected device, proceed as follows:

  1. Connect your enforePayPad to your enfore device via USB.
  2. In the POS menu, open Sales > Sales Settings.
  3. Tap on Connected.

  7. Determine what the device is to be used for. In our example, we want to use the device both as a customer display and to process card payments.
  8. Tap on [Complete].Capture d’écran 2024-03-05 à 16.12.36.png⮕ You have successfully added the enforePayPad to your cash register as a connected device.

Configure Customer Display

To configure the customer display, proceed as follows:

  1. In the POS menu, open Sales > Sales Settings.
  2. Tap on Connected.
  3. Tap on enforePayPad.Capture d’écran 2024-03-05 à 16.14.07.png⮕ The Device Details window opens.
  4. Tap on Customer Display.

    • Sales order items: activate this option if you want to display the sales items in the basket individually on the customer display.
    • Sales order summary: activate this option if you want to display the total amount of all items on the customer display.
    • Marketing Campaign Actions: activate this option if you want to display a previously created Marketing Campaign on the customer display.

      If you deactivate the Marketing Campaign Actions option, the standby screen is displayed.

      All options can be combined with each other. At least one option must be selected.

Configuring the Standby Screen

To configure the standby screen, proceed as follows:

  1. In the POS menu, open Sales > Sales Settings.
  2. Tap on Connected.

  4. Tap on Display.
  5. Tap on the Configuration field.Capture d’écran 2024-03-05 à 16.18.10.png⮕ The IDLE Screen window opens.

    • Background type: select a background type here. You can choose between a plain background, a color gradient or a user-defined background image.
      • Background color: select a background color for a monochrome background.
      • Gradient color top: select a color for the upper gradient.
      • Gradient color bottom: select a color for the lower gradient.
      • Background image: select a user-defined background image.
    • Widget type: select a widget type here. You can choose between no widget, a custom text widget, a clock widget and an image widget.
      • Primary information : enter a text for the primary information.
      • Additional information: enter a text for additional information. The text is displayed in small font below the primary information.
      • Color for time: select a color for the time in a clock widget.
      • Color for date: select a color for the date in a clock widget.
      • Display position for date: specify where the date should be displayed on the customer display for a clock widget.
      • Image: select an image for the image widget.

Use enforePayPad as a Customer Display

If you have added and configured the enforePayPad as a device, but did not define that you want to use it as a customer display, you can do this later. You will learn how to do that in this section.

  1. Tap on Device Usage.
  2. Tap on the Customer display field in the Customer facing devices area.Capture d’écran 2024-03-05 à 16.22.31.png
  3. Select the enforePayPad.
  4. Confirm with [Complete].Capture d’écran 2024-03-05 à 16.23.32.png⮕ You can now use the enforePayPad as a customer display.

Use enforePayPad as a Card Payment Device

If you have added and configured the enforePayPad as a device, but did not define that you want to make card payments with the device, you can do this later. You will learn how to do that in this section.

  1. Tap on Device Usage.

  3. Select your enforePayPad.
