Why do I have connection problems?

Are you having problems with your network connection? Or did you receive a message in enforePOS that no connection to the enfore server could be established? In this How-To, you will learn how to carry out a network analysis.

enforePOS is a cloud-based POS system. For this reason, it is important that the Internet connection remains stable.

If you use several cash register devices, it is important to clarify whether the connection problems affect all devices or just one specific device. It is also relevant to know how these devices are connected to the Internet.

If all devices are affected, we recommend that you restart your router. After the Internet connection has been restored, your devices must also be restarted.

If only one specific device is affected, there are different steps to check depending on the type of connection:

  • Connection via LAN cable:
    1. Make sure that the cable is properly connected.
    2. Check whether the cable is damaged.
  • Connection via WLAN:
    1. Try connecting to the Wi-Fi with another device (e.g. a cell phone) to check whether the Internet connection is working.
  • Connection via LTE:
    1. Check the network utilization by testing the network connection via a cell phone.

If the problem persists, contact your internet provider to make sure there are no temporary internet outages.
