Working with Cash Containers

Do you work with a Dasher with a Cash Drawer and several Staff members?

An enforeDasher (a Cash Register) with a Cash Drawer can be operated by several Staff members.

Work with the following settings in enforePOS:

  • You have to assign a Cash Drawer to the Dasher in the settings.
  • For Staff members, no Cash Management is selected under Cash Container.

If the User Access Rights (User Rights) for the accounting function are appropriately released for the Staff members, all Staff members can operate the Cash Drawer and count the cash in the meantime.

Do you only work with employee wallets and a Dasher without a Cash Drawer?   

Our recommendation for the set-up is as follows:

  • For Staff members, select wallet under Cash Container.
  • In the Dasher you don't have to select any Cash Management in the settings.

In this case, only card payments are possible at the checkout.

The Staff member operates the Cash Register via his personal login, so that the transactions (cash payments into the wallet and card payments) are recorded directly for the individual Staff member and the Cash Container. You can see the detailed sales in the Staff member report.

Do you work with a Dasher with Cash Drawer and your Staff members each have their own wallet?

Only one Cash Container can be assigned to an enforeDasher (Cash Register). Likewise, each Staff member can only be assigned one Cash Container at a time.

For this Set-up we recommend the following settings in enforePOS:

  • You have to assign a Cash Drawer to the Dasher in the settings.
  • The employee who uses the wallet is assigned the wallet under Cash Container.
