Your Honeywell barcode scanner was previously connected to a cash register that you no longer use and now you want to use the scanner on another cash register? In this How-To you will learn how to connect the Honeywell wired barcode scanner to another cash register.
- In the POS menu of the register to which you want to connect the barcode scanner, tap on Business Account > Devices.
- Tap on Device Usage.
- Tap on Product Barcode Scanner in the Other section. ⮕ The Select Product Barcode Scanner window opens. The barcode scanner appears under Barcode readers on other devices.
- Tap on the barcode scanner to connect it to the cash register.
⮕ The Reconfigure Device window opens.
- Tap on [Reconfigure]. ⮕ The barcode scanner has been assigned to the current cash register. All barcode scanner settings were removed on the previous cash register.
You can now use the barcode scanner to add new sales items to the cash register by scanning the barcode on the sales item. You can also scan the product barcode at checkout.
You can now find the Honeywell wired barcode scanner under Device Usage in the Product Barcode Scanner field. In addition, the Honeywell wired barcode scanner is displayed under Connected.
