Cash Transaction: Cash Withdrawal

Would you like to take cash from your Cash Register or from a Cash Container? In this How-To we explain where and how you can withdraw cash. 

There are different ways to manage cash in enforePOS. Depending on whether you manage your cash at the Cash Register or in Cash Ledgers assigned to Staff members, you have to make cash Transactions in different places in the system. This is the only way to correctly record all of your bookings.

If you make a mistake when entering the amount for a cash withdrawal, you can simply make an offsetting entry in the form of a cash deposit. Learn how to do that in this How-To.

If you want to book a Cash Transaction in the Cash Register: 

  1. From the POS menu, open Sales > Accounting.
  2. Select in the left area under Device: Device name Current Business Day.
    ⮕ Cash Transactions that you make here have an impact on the amount of Cash at your Cash Register.

If you want to book a Cash Transaction in a Staff Members Cash Ledger: 

Requirements

  1. From the POS menu, open Sales > Accounting
  2. Select in the left area under Staff Members: Staff member name Current shift.
    ⮕ Cash Transactions that you make here have an impact on the amount of Cash in the Cash Container of the respective Staff member.

Cash Withdrawal

  1. Swipe down within the Cash Transaction window until the Cash Withdrawal option appears.
  2. Tap on [Cash Withdrawal]. Bildschirmfoto_2022-08-26_um_14.26.52.png
  3. Enter the amount of Cash you withdraw.
    Optionally, you can add a description.
  4. Tap on [Complete]. Bildschirmfoto_2022-08-26_um_14.28.17.png ⮕ The Transaction is displayed in the overview.

Cash Withdrawal for Expense

  1. In the Cash Transaction window, tap Cash Withdrawal for Dispense.
  2. Select the type of output.

  3. Enter the following information in the next window: 
    • Amount
    • Tax Rate
    • Optional: Receipt Number
    • Receipt Date
    • Optional: Description
  4. Tap on [Complete].Bildschirmfoto_2022-08-26_um_08.54.19.png⮕ The Transaction is displayed in the overview.

Cash Withdrawal to Bank Account 

  1. In the Cash Transaction window, tap Cash Withdrawal to Bank Account. Bildschirmfoto_2022-08-26_um_14.33.13.png
  2. Select the Account to which the withdrawal should be posted.Bildschirmfoto_2022-08-26_um_14.34.48.png
  3. Enter the amount of Cash you withdraw.
    Optionally, you can add a description.
  4. Tap on [Complete]. Bildschirmfoto_2022-08-26_um_14.35.12.png ⮕ The Transaction is displayed in the overview.

Cash Withdrawal to Cash Vault 

  1. Tap on [Cash Transaction].
    ⮕ The Cash Transaction window opens.
  2. Swipe down within the window until the option Cash Withdrawal to a Cash Vault appears.
  3. Select Cash Withdrawal to Cash Vault Bildschirmfoto_2022-08-26_um_14.36.00.png ⮕ The selection of the created Cash Vaults is displayed.
  4. Select the Cash Vault in which you want to put the Cash from the cash Ledger. Bildschirmfoto_2022-08-26_um_14.37.00.png
  5. Enter the amount of Cash that you want to transfer.
  6. Add a description.

    If you activated the option Denomination is required for Cash Transactions when setting up your Cash Vault, the Denomination window opens, in which you can select the detailed denomination in notes and coins. You can change this setting here

Cash Transfer with Safebag

  1. In the Cash Transaction window, tap Cash Withdrawal with Safebag. Bildschirmfoto_2022-08-26_um_14.38.01.png
  2. Enter the amount of Cash you withdraw.
  3. Add the Safebag number.
  4. Include a brief description.
  5. Tap on [Complete].
