Cash Transaction - Cash Withdrawal

Would you like to take cash from your cash register or from a cash container? In this How-To, we explain where and how you can withdraw cash. 

There are different ways to manage cash in enforePOS. Depending on whether you manage your cash at the cash register or in cash containers assigned to staff members, you need to make cash transactions in different places in the system, so that all of your transactions are recorded correctly.

If you make a mistake when entering the amount for a cash withdrawal, you can simply make an offsetting entry in the form of a cash deposit. Learn how to do that in this How-To.

Cash transaction from the cash register:

Requirements

  1. From the POS menu, open Sales > Accounting
  2. Select Current Business Day in the left area under Device: Device name.
    ⮕ Cash transactions that you make here have an impact on the amount of cash in your cash register. 
  3. Tap on [Cash Transaction]. Capture d’écran 2024-03-07 à 10.32.31.png⮕ The Cash Transaction window opens.

Cash transaction from a staff member's cash container: 

Requirements

  1. From the POS menu, open Sales > Accounting
  2. Select Current shift in the left area under Staff: Staff member name.
    ⮕ The cash transactions you make here will affect the amount of cash in the staff member's cash container. 
  3. Tap on [Cash Transaction].Bildschirmfoto 2022-08-26 um 14.25.18.png ⮕ The Cash Transaction window opens.

Cash Drawing

  1. In the Cash Transaction window, tap on Cash Drawing. Capture d’écran 2024-03-07 à 10.34.30.png
  2. Enter the amount of cash you want to withdraw.
  3. Enter a description.
  4. Tap on [Complete]. Capture d’écran 2024-03-07 à 10.35.39.png⮕ The transaction is displayed to you in the Transactions tab under Money Transfer.

Cash Drawing for Expense

  1. In the Cash Transaction window, tap on Cash Drawing for Expense.Capture d’écran 2024-03-07 à 10.36.40.png
  2. Select the Type of Expense

  3. Enter the following information in the next step: 
    • Cash Amount
    • Tax Rate
    • Document number (optional)
    • Document Date
    • Description
  4. Tap on [Complete]. Capture d’écran 2024-03-07 à 10.38.04.png⮕ The transaction is displayed to you in the Transactions tab under Payment and under Expense.

Cash Drawing to Bank Account 

  1. In the Cash Transaction window, tap on Cash Drawing to Bank Account. Capture d’écran 2024-03-07 à 10.39.10.png
  2. Select the account to which the drawing should be transferred. Capture d’écran 2024-03-07 à 10.39.50.png
  3. Enter the amount of cash you want to withdraw. Optionally, you can add a description.
  4. Tap on [Complete]. Capture d’écran 2024-03-07 à 10.40.43.png⮕ The transaction is displayed to you in the Transactions tab under Money Transfer.

Cash Drawing to Cash Vault 

  1. In the Cash Transaction window, tap on Cash Drawing to Cash Vault.Capture d’écran 2024-03-07 à 10.41.52.png⮕ The created vaults are displayed.
  2. Select the cash vault in which you want to put the cash from the cash container. Capture d’écran 2024-03-07 à 10.42.31.png
  3. Enter the amount of cash that you want to transfer.

    If you have activated the option Require Denomination for Cash Transactions when setting up your cash vault, the Cash Transaction window opens, in which you can select the detailed denomination in bills and coins. You can change this setting here

  4. Add a description.

Cash Transfer with Safebag

  1. In the Cash Transaction window, tap Cash Drawing with Safebag. Capture d’écran 2024-03-07 à 10.57.26.png
  2. Enter the amount of cash you want to withdraw.
  3. Add the safebag number.
  4. Include a brief description.
  5. Tap on [Complete].
