Create Sales Item Navigation

With product navigation, you determine how and where your products are displayed in your checkout. Use sales categories, search categories, product listings, and more to arrange your products in exactly the way that best suits your everyday life. 

With enforePOS you have the possibility to create product navigations and use them easily on all your cash registers. You only have to make changes once and they are automatically applied to all your devices. 

In this How-To, we will show you how to create such a configuration.

Create product navigation

  1. From the POS menu, open Business Account > Configurations.
  2. Switch to the product presentation overview.

    Alternative: From the POS menu, open Sales > Products, then tap the Product navigation overview.

  3. Add Navigation Configuration.

  4. Enter a name for your configuration.
  5. Optionally enter a description for your configuration.
  6. Tap on NavbarCheckmark-15.png.

  7. Tap on [+ Add Tab] in the top left to add a new tab.

  8. Choose what type of tab you want to create:
    • Manual content: Set products and their order manually.
    • Manual Grid: Place articles in a grid.
    • Dynamic Content: Specify the content by filtering attributes.
    • Product List: Select an existing product list.
    • Storefront: Define links to tabs that have already been created here in order to emphasize them.
    • Browse tree: Choose a main category, which serves as an entry point to browse all of its subcategories.
    • Tabbar: Choose a tab with any number of different sub-levels.

Manual Content

  1. Watch the following video recording to learn how to create a manual content.4_EN.gif
  2. In the Items tab on the right pane, select a product to add to the tab.
  3. Tap on a sales item until it is displayed slightly tilted.
  4. Drag the product to the area on the left where you want to place the product.

  5. Repeat for each product you want to associate with the tab. 
  6. To remove a product from the tab, tap the product until it is slightly tilted and move it back to the right column.6_EN.png
  7. Confirm with [Yes].7_EN.png

Manual Grid

  1. Watch the following video recording to learn how to create a manual grid.8_EN.gif
  2. Tap on a sales item until it is displayed slightly tilted.
    ⮕ The product is deleted from the list.
  3. Drag the sales item to the position on the grid where you want to place it.

  4. Repeat for each product you want to assign to the grid.
  5. Tap the Functions tab to add a function to your manual grid.

    You can find out how to add functions to your manual grid and the different options you have in the How-Tos Add Custom Functions and Set a Predefined Quantity of a Product.

  6. Tap a product or feature in the manual grid to delete the product or feature.

Dynamic Content

  2. In the Content tab on the right pane, select a sales category(s), search category(s), brands, or tags that you want to add to the tab.

  3. Switch to the Display tab on the right and make the settings for the tab. 
    We explain here which settings you can make. 

Product Listing

  2. Select a product listing from the Items tab in the right pane.

  3. Switch to the Display tab on the right and make the settings for the tab. 
    We explain here which settings you can make. 

Storefront

Use the home page after creating all the tabs you want. With this function you can create links to your already created tabs to make the work easier for your employees. To create a start page, proceed as follows:

  2. In the right pane, on the Content tab, select Navigation Targets. You have the option of creating recommendations, top products and highlight products. 
  3. Tap on Edit.svg next to each category to change the naming.

Our Recommendations

Select already created tabs that you want to link here. You can set multiple navigation destinations and add images to them.

  1. Tap on [Navigation Targets].

  2. Tap on [+ Add new link].

  3. Choose one of the objects shown.
    22_EN.png⮕ The navigation link has been created and is displayed in the overview.
  4. Tap on the navigation link.

  5. Give the navigation link a name.
  6. If necessary, change the navigation destination.
  7. Add an image.
  8. Please enter a description 
  9. Tap NavbarCheckmark-15.png in the upper right corner.

  10. Add more navigation destinations by tapping on [+ Add new link], or finish your entry by tapping on [Confirm].

    You can change the order of the navigation links by tapping and dragging the three bars on the right.

Top Sales Items

Choose a product list that you have already created. The products are then displayed in this tab. 

  1. Tap on Product List.

Browse Tree

A browse tree allows you to create a tab that allows you to browse a sales or search category and its subcategories.

Requirement

  • You have created at least one sales category or search category

  2. On the Items tab in the right pane, select a sales category.
  3. Confirm with Return.svg.
    30_EN.png⮕ The sales category and any existing subcategories and the products that belong to this sales category are displayed in the left pane. 31_EN.png

Tabbar

The sub-level tab allows you to create tabs that have multiple levels. You decide completely flexibly how you want to design these tabs.

  3. Create additional tabs if necessary.
  4. In the Items tab on the right pane, select a product to add to the subtab.
  5. Tap on a sales item until it is displayed slightly tilted.
  6. Drag the product to the area on the left where you want to place the product.

Display tab

  1. Switch to the Display tab in the right pane. 
    Here you can make settings for the display of the tab:  
    • Name: Change the tab's name.
    • Icon: Change the tab's icon.
    • Display mode: Choose how you want your products to be displayed. You have the choice between buttons, tiles, list, maps landscape format and maps portrait format.
    • Item Size: Choose the size of the displayed products. You have the choice between Smaller, Regular and Larger
    • Aspect Ratio: Choose in which aspect ratio the product images should be displayed.
    • Adjustment: Decide whether to crop or fit the product images. 
    • Details: Determine which additional information should be displayed under the products. 
    • Show Price: Choose whether the price should be displayed.

      The choices vary depending on the type of content you chose when creating the tab.

Save product navigation

  1. Tap on [Save] when you have created all the tabs you need.36_EN.png⮕ You have successfully created your product navigation. It is displayed in the sales item navigation tab in the product presentation overview.37_EN.png
