Putting an enforePOS Device into Operation as a Cash Register

You have deactivated the cash register function on your enforePOS device and now want to use this device again as a cash register with a new identity? Or your cash register did not have a cash register function until now and you want to activate it for the first time? With enforePOS, this is possible. In this How-To, we will show you how to do it.

The notes on DATEV and TSE are only relevant for Germany.

Reactivate Cash Register Function after Decommissioning

Requirements

To put your enforePOS device back into operation as a cash register, proceed as follows:

  1. In the POS menu, open Sales > Register.
  2. Tap on [Create new register] under the note.

  3. Enter the following data:
    • Register Name: Enter the name of the register here.
    • Register Type: Specify here whether the cash register is a sales or gastro register.
    • Sales Type: Specify the sales type of the register (Over the Counter, Pickup, Delivery) here.
  4. Tap on [Next].

  5. If you want to manage your cash on your enforePOS device, tap on Cash Drawer. Otherwise, tap on [No Cash Management]. In our example we choose Cash Drawer.

  6. Tap [Complete].

  7. Tap on Start Business Day to use the cash register.
    5_EN.png⮕ You have successfully reactivated the cash register function.

After recommissioning, the following happens or is necessary:

  • The Z-reports start again at 1.
  • In the DATEV export, the decommissioning is reported when carrying out a cash withdrawal. The DATEV export continues to be recorded.
  • Both the invoices and the order numbers start again at 1.
  • Device number and device identifier are reassigned.
  • A new TSE license is required for recommissioning.
  • The cash must be re-entered, since the cash balance cannot be transferred from the previous cash register (old identity).

Activate Cash Register Function for the First Time

Requirements

To activate the cash register function on your enforePOS device for the first time, proceed as follows:

  1. In the POS menu, open Sales > Register.
  2. Tap on [Configure cash register] under the note.6_EN.png⮕ The Setup Cash Register window opens.
  3. Determine if you want to make new settings or if you want to apply the settings of an existing cash register. In our example, we make new settings.7_EN.png
  4. Enter the following data:
    • Register Name: Enter the name of the register here.
    • Register Type: Specify here whether the cash register is a sales or gastro register.
    • Sales Type: Specify the sales type of the register (Over the Counter, Pickup, Delivery) here.
  5. Tap on [Next].8_EN.png
  6. If you want to manage your cash on your enforePOS device, tap on Cash drawer. Otherwise, tap on [No Cash Management]. In our example we choose Cash Drawer.10_EN.png
  7. Tap on [Complete]. 11_EN.png
  8. Tap on Start Business Day to use the cash register.12_EN.png⮕ You have successfully activated the cash register function on your enforePOS device for the first time.

After activating the checkout function for the first time, the following is necessary:

  • A new TSE license is required.
