Add and Retrieve Nutritional Values for a Sales Item

You run a retail business and want to give your customers accurate information about your sales items (e.g. nutritional values) to answer questions about the sales item? With enforePOS this is possible. In this How-To, you will find out which settings you have to define.

Add Feature "Nutrition”

To add the feature Nutrition, proceed as follows:

  1. From the POS menu, open Sales > Sales Items.
  2. Switch to the Features overview.
  3. Tap on [+ Create Feature].1_EN.png
  4. Enter a feature name. In our example, we enter Nutrition.
  5. Confirm with Return.svg.2_EN.png⮕ The Create Feature window opens.
  6. Select the Nutrition Info feature type.3_EN.png
  7. Tap on [Save].4_EN.png

Add Nutritional Values to a Sales Item

To add nutritional values to a sales item, proceed as follows:

  1. From the POS menu, open Sales > Sales Items.
  2. Select the sales item to which you want to add nutritional values. In our example, we choose Cookie.

  3. Switch to the Features tab.
  4. Tap on [+ Feature].
  5. Enter the name of the feature you have already created.
  6. Select the feature.8_EN.png⮕ The Select Feature Value window opens.
  7. Enter the following nutritional information for the sales item:
    • Reference quantity
    • Calorific value/energy content (kj)
    • Calorific value/energy content (kcal)
    • Fat
    • Saturated fatty acids
    • Carbohydrates
    • Sugar
    • Protein
    • Salt
  8. Tap on [Use Feature Value].

Configure Product Details


To configure the sales item details, proceed as follows:

  1. Open Business Account > Configurations in the POS menu.
  2. Tap on the Product Presentation overview.
  3. Switch to the Product Details tab.10_EN.png
  4. If you have already created a configuration for product details, tap on the configuration and proceed to step 8.

    Alternatively, you can select the default configuration.

  5. If you have not yet created a configuration for product details, tap on [+ Add configuration].10_EN⮕ The New Product Details Configuration window opens.
  6. Enter the following information:
    • Please enter a name...: Assign a name for the configuration.
    • Background mode: The background mode is the background color used to frame the sales item image in the properties view in the cash register. Choose between light and dark.
    • Categories: Select the sales categories to be applied to the configuration.
    • Sales Items: Select the sales items to be applied to the configuration.
    • Add Description : Add a description for the configuration here.
  7. Tap on SingleSelectionCheck.svg to confirm your entries.

  8. Tap on [+ Add section].12_EN.png

    In case of an already existing configuration, tap on Settings.svg to enter a name as well as a description, set the background mode and assign the sales categories and the sales items.

    ⮕ The Create new Section window opens.
  9. Choose the Nutrition Table section type.13_EN.png
  10. Give a name to the section. In our example, we assign the name Nutrition.
  11. Confirm with Return.svg.15_EN.png
  12. Tap on the Feature field.
  13. Enter the feature you added.
  14. Select the feature from the list.16_EN.png
  15. Tap on [Complete].17_EN.png⮕ The Create new Section window closes. The section has been added to the product details configuration.
  16. Enter a name for the tab in the Tab title field.
  17. Set an icon for the tab in the Icon field.
  18. Enter a heading in the Headline field.
  19. Enter a description in the Description field.
  20. Tap on SingleSelectionCheck.svg.18_EN.png

Display Nutritional Information in the Cash Register

  1. Open your cash register.
  2. Swipe from right to left on the sales item to which you added the nutritional information.
  3. Tap on Info.svg.19_EN.png⮕ The Product Details window opens.
    ⮕ The nutritional information of the sales item is displayed.
