Create Shared Configuration

This How-To describes new functions and workflows that are only available in enforePOS 2. This version is exclusively available to customers participating in the enforePOS 2 Early Access program.

Do you work with different cash registers for which you want to make different settings? For example, would you like to use different functions on your stationary (e.g. enforeDasher) and mobile cash registers (e.g. enforeDonner)? 

In this case, you can create another split configuration in addition to the preset standard configuration in the sales settings and conveniently switch back and forth between the configurations. In this How-To, you will learn how this works.

Create new Shared Configuration

  1. Open More in the POS menu.1_EN.png
  2. Tap your cash register name in the top right-hand corner.2_EN.png⮕ The Sales settings view opens.
  3. Tap on IdentitySectionToggleIdentity.svg in the top right-hand corner.
  4. Tap on [+ Create new shared configuration].3_EN.png
  5. Enter a name for your new configuration.
  6. Optionally enter a description.
  7. Confirm with NavbarCheckmark.svg.4_EN.png⮕ The window with the settings for your new configuration opens.
  8. Edit the settings of your configuration. You can find out which setting options you have in the How-Tos Settings for the enforePOS for Retail edition and Settings for the enforePOS for Restaurants edition.
  9. Finally, save your changes with NavbarCheckmark.svg.5_EN.png⮕ The window closes. The new configuration is automatically activated for your device. In the Sales Settings view, you will be notified that your device is using the new configuration you have created:6_EN.png

    You can change the configuration of your device at any time. Tap on IdentitySectionToggleIdentity.svg and select the configuration you want to use on your device.
