Create Floor Plan Set
You would like to display your business in your cash register with a floor plan and thus make your staff members' daily work easier? In this How-To, you will learn how to create a floor plan in which you can graphically represent tables of different sizes. You can link them to the tables you have created as resources .
You can also create special areas as elements for your floor plan. For example, you can create tables without seats for Take Away sales or simple room elements to which you can assign separate designations such as “staff table”.
Create Floor Plan Set
In the POS menu, open Sales > Sales Settings .
Tap on Floor Plan in the This Device overview.
Tap on [+ Add Floor Plan Set] .
Assign a name for the floor plan set and confirm with . ⮕ The Create Floor Plan window opens.
Provide the following information:
Add Room or Area : Name of the room or area
Room or Area size : Width and length can be from 2 m to 48 m
Active : If the check mark is set, the floor plan set can be used
Tap on [Create] . ⮕ A grid of the specified size appears.
(1): Names of individual room plans, with the possibility to add more rooms by tapping on [+ Room] .
(2): Area for inserting the elements, e.g. tables (each box corresponds to 40 cm²).
(3): Action bar with tools to edit the floor plan
Create standard elements (tables)
Tap on the grid to add a table. ⮕ The Create Shape window with predefined elements opens.
Tap on the desired element in the Type step. In the example, we use a table with 3-4 seats and a size of 100*100 cm.
Make the following specifications in the Layout step:
Size : Here you change the predefined size of the element.
Count of repetition : Here you specify how many elements of a type you want to create.
Direction of Repetition : Choose in which direction the elements should be arranged.
Distance between : Specify the distance between the elements.
Tap on [Confirm] . ⮕ The tables are now displayed on the grid.
Tap on a table to assign a resource to it. ⮕ The Edit Table window opens.
Tap the resource you want to assign to the table. ⮕ The table now contains information about the linked resource and the number of seats available.
Repeat this for each table.
At any time, you can arrange the tables, change their size or add more elements.
Create Element without Seats (Tables for Take Away/ To Go)
Tap on the grid to create an element without seats.
In the Type step, select the desired element in the Virtual Table area. You have the choice between Square , Rectangular and Round .
In the Layout step, you can specify the size and layout of the element.
Tap on [Confirm] . ⮕ The element is now displayed on the grid.
Tap on the element. ⮕ The Edit Room Element window opens.
Select in this window:
the name of the room element
the order type to be linked
whether the order should be "tagged"
a color
Tap on [Save] to apply the changes to the floor plan.
You can arrange the elements, change their size or add more elements at any time.
Create Room Element
Tap on the grid to create a room element.
In the Type step, select the desired element in the Room Element area. You have the choice between Square , Rectangular and Round .
In the Layout step, you can specify the size and layout of the element.
Tap on [Confirm] . ⮕ The element is now displayed on the grid.
Tap on the element. ⮕ The Edit Room Element window opens.
Select the name of the room element and a color to display this element separately in your floor plan.
Tap on [Save] to apply the changes to the floor plan.
You can arrange the elements, change their size or add more elements at any time.
Delete elements
Tap on the element you want to delete. In this example, we will delete a table. ⮕ The window for editing the selected element opens.
Tap on [Delete] . ⮕ The element has been deleted.
Save Floor Plan Set
Tap on [Save Set] to finish creating the floor plan set. ⮕ You have successfully created your floor plan set.
