This How-To describes new functions and workflows that are only available in enforePOS 2. This version is exclusively available to customers participating in the enforePOS 2 Early Access program.
Do you want to make your staff members’ work easier by displaying a floor plan of your restaurant or store in your cash register? In this How-To, you will learn how to create tables in different sizes and assign seats. This will help you to never lose track of customer orders again.
You can use a floor plan in the enforePOS for Restaurants edition.
You can also create special elements in your floor plan. For example, you can create tables without seats for Take Away sales, or simple room elements that you can assign separate names, such as "staff table”.
Open More in the POS menu.
Tap on your cash register name at the top right.
Switch to the Gastro tab.
Tap on Edit Floor Plans in the Floor Plan area. ⮕ The Floor Plans window opens.
Tap on [+ Add Floor Plan Set].
Give the floor plan a name in the Enter name of the Floor Plan Set field.
Confirm with . ⮕ The Create Floor Plan window opens.
Enter the following information in this window:
Add Room or Area...: enter a name for a room or area.
Room or Area size: specify the size of the room or area. Width and length can range from 2 m to 48 m.
Active: if the check mark is set, the floor plan can be used.
Tap on [Create]. ⮕ A grid of the specified size appears.
1 - In the header, you can see which room or area you are viewing. You can also add more rooms or areas via [+ Room].
2 - In the grid (the tiled area), you can add and display elements, such as table elements, elements without seats, or room elements.
3 - In the overview bar, you will find tools to edit your floor plan.
Tap anywhere on the grid. ⮕ The Create Shape window with predefined elements opens.
Create Table Elements
In the Type step, you choose which element you want to create. In the following example, we choose a table with 1-2 seats and the size 60*60 cm.
In the Layout step, adjust the element:
Size: here you can change the predefined size of the element.
Count of repetition: specify how many elements of the selected type you want to create.
Direction of repetition: choose in which direction the elements should be arranged.
Distance between: specify the distance between the elements.
Tap on [Confirm]. ⮕ The table elements are now displayed on the grid.
You can arrange the tables, change their size or add more elements at any time.
Tap on a table element to assign a resource to the table element.
Assigning resources to your table elements is a necessary step before you can work with the floor plan and take orders for tables.
⮕ The Assign Table window opens.
Tap on the resource you want to assign to the table element. ⮕ You have assigned a resource to the table element.
Repeat this for each table element.
Create Elements without Seats
In the Type step, select an element in the Virtual Table area. In this example we choose Virtual Table - Round.
In the Layout step you can customize the element:
Size: change the predefined size of the element.
Count of repetition: specify how many elements of this type you want to create.
Direction of repetition: choose in which direction the elements should be arranged.
Distance between: specify the distance between the elements.
Tap on [Confirm]. ⮕ The element is now displayed on the grid.
Tap on the element to edit it. ⮕ The Edit Room Element window opens.
Adjust the element in this window:
Name: optionally add a name.
Order type: select the order type to be linked.
Tag order with: determine whether the element should be "tagged".
Color: optionally choose a color for the element.
Tap on [Save] to apply the changes to the floor plan.
You can arrange the elements, change their size or add more elements at any time.
Create Room Elements
In the Type step, select an element in the Room Element area. You have the choice between Square, Rectangular and Round.
In the Layout step, adjust the element:
Size: change the predefined size of the element.
Count of repetition: specify how many elements of this type you want to create.
Direction of repetition: choose in which direction the elements should be arranged.
Distance between: specify the distance between the elements.
Tap on [Confirm]. ⮕ The element is now displayed on the grid.
Tap on the element to edit it. ⮕ The Edit Room Element window opens.
Adjust the element in this window:
Label: optionally add a label.
Color: optionally choose a color for the element.
Tap on [Save] to apply the changes to the floor plan.
You can arrange the elements, change their size or add more elements at any time.
Save Floor Plan
Tap on [Save Floor Plan Set] to complete the creation of the floor plan set. ⮕ You have successfully created your floor plan set.
