Grant Custom Discount

This How-To describes new functions and workflows that are only available in enforePOS 2. This version is exclusively available to customers participating in the enforePOS 2 Early Access program.

Do you want to assign an individual discount per sales order or per line item in the cash register? With enforePOS, this is possible. In this How-To, we will show you how to do it.

• Per Sales Order

  To assign a custom discount to an entire order, proceed as follows:
  1. Open the cash register in the POS menu.
  2. Add multiple sales items to the basket.
  3. Tap on the total price in the top right-hand corner.⮕ The window with the sales order details opens.
  4. In the Discounts & Vouchers section, tap on No discount . ⮕ The Custom Order Discount window opens.
  5. Tap on any field to select a discount.

     You have the choice between a fixed or custom percentage value and a fixed or custom price value.

     In our example, we select a custom percentage value.⮕ The Enter Percentage window opens. 
  6. Enter a percentage discount using the keypad.
  7. Confirm your entry with .
  8. If you want to specify a reason for the discount, select one in the Manual Item Discount window. In our example, we choose Staff.

     You can set whether selecting a reason is not allowed, optional or mandatory. You can find this setting in the POS menu under More > [Name of your cash register] at the top right > Discounts & Prices tab in the Reasons for Custom Discounts section. The default setting is optional.

  9. Tap on [Accept discount].
     ⮕ The custom discount is displayed below the non-discounted order total.
     ⮕ The reason is displayed below the discount.
     ⮕ The custom discount has been applied to the order.
  10. Tap on . ⮕ The total savings including the reason are displayed in the basket below the order. ⮕ The order discount is also displayed on the paid invoice in the Sales History.

• Per Line Item

  To apply an individual discount to a single sales item, follow these steps:
  1. Open the cash register in the POS menu.
  2. Add multiple sales items to the basket.
  3. Tap on the sales item for which you want to give a custom discount.
     ⮕  The Edit Line Item window opens.
  4. Tap on .
  5. Tap on .

     With you can enter a custom total price value for the sales order item.

  6. Tap on a predefined percentage discount (highlighted in green) or enter any percentage value using the keypad. In our example, we enter a value of 25%.
  7. Confirm your entry with .

     You can also enter a percentage value with a decimal point. To do this, tap on and then on No discount , enter the percentage value as a decimal number and confirm with .

     
  8. If you want to specify a reason for the discount given, select a reason in the Reason for the discount section. In our example, we choose Staff.

     You can set whether selecting a reason is not allowed, optional or mandatory. You can find this setting in the POS menu under More > [Name of your cash register] at the top right > Discounts & Prices tab in the Reasons for Custom Discounts section. The default setting is optional.

  9. Tap on [Accept Discount]. ⮕ The custom discount including the reason is displayed below the original sales item price.
     ⮕ The updated sales item price is displayed at the top.
