Configure Reasons for Custom Prices and Discounts

This How-To describes new functions and workflows that are only available in enforePOS 2. This version is exclusively available to customers participating in the enforePOS 2 Early Access program.

In this How-To we will show you how to configure reasons for custom prices in enforePOS. You configure reasons for custom discounts in the same way as for custom prices.

The reasons you specify here will be displayed when you manually adjust the price of a sales item in the cash register.

1. Open More in the POS menu.
2. Tap on [Name of your cash register] at the top right.
   
3. Tap on the Discounts & Pricing tab.
   

• Select and Deselect Default Reasons

  To select or deselect a default reason for a custom price, do the following:

  1. In the Reasons for Custom Pricing section, tap on [+ Add reason].
     ⮕ The Add reason window opens.
     

     All default reasons are preselected.

  2. Select which reasons you would like to add or remove.
  3. Tap on [Confirm].⮕ The Add reason window closes.

• Create, Add and Remove Custom Reasons

  To create, add or remove a custom reason, do the following:

  1. Next to Reasons for Custom Pricing, tap on to add a reason for a custom price.
     ⮕ The Reasons window opens.
     

     The left-hand column contains the active reasons. Those are the reasons that you can currently select for a price adjustment in the cash register. In the right column, the fixed standard reasons are displayed in the upper area. The custom reasons are displayed in the lower area.

  2. Tap on [+ Add Custom Reason].
     ⮕ The Create Custom Reason window opens.
  3. Choose the type of reason. In our example, we choose Customer.
     
  4. Enter a name for the reason in the Add name... field.
  5. Tap on [Create Reason].
     ⮕ You have created a reason. The reason will be displayed in the Custom Reasons section. 
  6. Watch the following video recording to learn how to add custom reasons to the Active Reasons section, change the order of active reasons, and remove reasons from the Active Reasons section.

     By moving a reason to a different position, you can change the order in which the reasons will be displayed in the cash register. For example, if you often use a discount for new customers, you can position that reason higher up.

  7. Tap on to save your changes.⮕ The Reasons window closes.

• Remove Reasons for Custom Pricing Quickly

  To quickly remove reasons for custom pricing, do the following:

  1. Swipe from right to left on a reason in the Reasons for Custom Pricing area.
  2. Tap on . ⮕ You have removed the reason for the custom pricing.
