Working with Cash Containers

In enforePOS there are several ways to manage your cash. In this How-To, we introduce you to the different set-ups and the associated settings.

An enforeDasher with a Cash Drawer and several Staff members

Do you work with an enforeDasher with a cash drawer and several staff members?

An enforeDasher (a cash register) with a cash drawer can be operated by several staff members.

Work with the following settings in enforePOS:

• Assign a cash drawer to the enforeDasher under Sales Selling Settings Wallet tab.
• In staff members profiles, under Business Account Staff Member in the Wallet tab select No cash management.

If the User Access Rights (user rights) for the Accounting function are appropriately released for the staff members, all staff members can operate the cash drawer and count the cash in the meantime.

Staff Member Wallets and enforeDasher without Cash Drawer

Do you only work with staff member wallets and an enforeDasher without a Cash Drawer?

Our recommendation for the set-up is as follows:

• Assign the wallet to staff members under Business Account Staff Members in the Cash Container tab, in the staff member profiles.
• For the enforeDasher, activate the option No Cash Management under Sales Selling Settings Wallets tab.

In this case, only card payments are possible at the checkout.

The staff member is logged in to the cash register with his staff member account, so that the sales (cash payment into the wallet and card payment) are recorded directly for the individual staff member and the cash container. You can see the detailed sales in the Staff member report.

Do you work with an enforeDasher with cash drawer and your staff members each have their own wallet?

Only one Cash Container can be assigned to an enforeDasher (Cash Register). Likewise, each Staff member can only be assigned one Cash Container at a time.

For this Set-up we recommend the following settings in enforePOS:

• Assign a cash drawer to the enforeDasher under Sales Selling Settings Wallet tab.
• Assign the wallet to staff members who use it under Business Account Staff Member in the Cash Container tab of staff members profiles.
