Sales Channel - Add Pickup / Delivery Hours

If you offer pickup and/or delivery as sales types at your sales channel, you can also define times when orders can be picked up in parallel with your opening hours.

If you do not define separate pickup or delivery times, your opening hours will be used as pickup or delivery times. 

The steps to define the pickup times or delivery times are the same. Therefore, they are explained in parallel in this How-To.

Requirements

Define Pickup / Delivery Hours

If you have not defined any pickup or delivery hours that differ from your opening hours when you set up your sales channel, you will find out how you can define them subsequently in the following.

  1. Open Order Management > Order Settings in the POS menu.
  2. In the left column, select the sales channel for which you want to define pickup or delivery times.

  4. To add your pickup hours to your sales channel, tap on Pickup Hours in the Pickup area.Screenshot_2022-09-29_at_08.30.33.png ⮕ The Pickup Hours window opens.
  5. To define a pickup period for your sales channel, tap Pickup Period in the Pickup area.Screenshot_2022-09-29_at_08.31.55.png

    The pickup period, which can be defined not only in hours but also in days, makes it possible to schedule pickups further in advance when placing orders on the online presence.

  6. To add your delivery hours to your sales channel, tap on Delivery Hours in the Delivery section. Screenshot_2022-09-29_at_08.32.54.png ⮕ The Delivery Hours window opens.

    In our example we enter the pickup hours; however, the steps are the same for the delivery hours. The settings are also identical.

  7. To set a delivery period for your sales channel, tap on Delivery Period in the Delivery section.Screenshot_2022-09-29_at_08.33.28.png

    The delivery period, which can be specified not only in hours but also in days, makes it possible to schedule deliveries further in advance when placing orders on the online presence.

Regular Hours

  1. In the Regular Hours tab, select the days of the week on which you offer pickup or delivery. In our example, we choose Monday.Screenshot_2022-09-29_at_08.34.42.png  ⮕ The window with the detailed view of the selected weekday opens.
  2. In the Business Hours section, decide whether the business hours are all day or within a specific time span.
    If the business hours are all day, enable the All day option.
    If you want to define a specific time span, tap on [Select Time Span]. When defining time spans, you specify them in 15-minute intervals.

  4. If you want to apply the selected settings to other days, tap the Days field in the Apply to area. Screenshot_2022-09-29_at_08.38.22.png ⮕ The selection menu for the days of the week opens.
  5. Select the days of the week for which you want to apply these settings.Screenshot_2022-09-29_at_08.38.56.png
  6. To save your settings, tap NavbarCheckmark-15.png.
    ⮕ You return to the Pickup times window.

Special Hours

  1. If you want to set special business hours in addition to regular hours, such as special opening hours on holidays, switch to the Special Hours tab.
  2. Tap on [+ Add special business hours].Screenshot_2022-09-29_at_08.39.53.png ⮕ The Edit special business day window opens.
  3. Give the special business day a name.
  4. Choose for which day the special hours should apply.Screenshot_2022-09-29_at_08.40.41.png
  5. In the Business Hours section, decide whether the business hours are all day or within a specific time span.
    If the business hours are all day, enable the All day option.
    If you want to define a specific time span, tap on [Select Time Span]. When defining time spans, you specify them in 15-minute intervals.
  6. If you want to add multiple time spans, tap [ + Add business hours].Screenshot_2022-09-29_at_08.41.25.png  ⮕ The window expands with an additional field where you can enter the time span.
  7. To save your settings, tap NavbarCheckmark-15.png.
    ⮕ You return to the Pickup times window.

Block-out Times

  1. To set your block-out times, switch to the Block-out Times tab.
  2. Tap on [+ Add block-out time].Screenshot_2022-09-29_at_08.42.14.png  ⮕ The Edit Block-out Time window opens.
  3. Add a reason for the block-out time.
  4. Choose a start date.
  5. Choose an end date.
  6. To save your settings, tap NavbarCheckmark-15.png.Screenshot_2022-09-29_at_08.43.13.png ⮕ You will return to the Pickup Hours window.
