Work with Time-Dependent Sales Item Navigations

This How-To describes new functions and workflows that are only available in enforePOS 2. This version is exclusively available to customers participating in the enforePOS 2 Early Access program.

In enforePOS, you can create multiple sales item navigations that are displayed at different times in your cash register. For example, if you have a happy hour where drinks are purchased frequently, you can create a time-based navigation that displays drinks on the first page of your cash register. This allows your staff members to immediately select these sales items without having to switch to another tab. You decide at what times you want this navigation to appear and don't have to worry about anything else.

To create a time-dependent sales item navigation, proceed as follows:

  1. Open Sales Items in the POS menu.
  2. Tap on Sales Item Navigation.
  3. Choose the configuration you want to use.
In the example, we choose the configuration Thomas' Restaurant.1_EN.png

Alternatively, you can create a new configuration here and make all settings in this new configuration.

    ⮕ The configuration is displayed.
  4. Tap on Clock (1).svg.2_EN.png⮕ The Navigation window opens.
  5. Tap on [+ Add Navigation].3_EN.png⮕ The Create new Navigation Configuration window opens.
  6. Enter a name for the new navigation.
  7. Optionally, enter a description for the navigation.
  8. Activate the Configuration is active option if you want the configuration to be active.
  9. Under Schedule, tap on a day on which the navigation should be active. 4_EN.png⮕ A window with the day of the week opens.
  10. In the Time span field, specify a time span during which you want the navigation to be active.
  11. Tap on [+ Add available hours...] if you want to specify multiple time spans.
  12. Under Apply to, select the days on which you want the navigation to be active.
  13. Tap on NavbarCheckmark-15.png to save your entries.5_EN.png⮕ The window closes and the times are displayed in the overview.
  14. Tap on NavbarCheckmark-15.png.6_EN.png⮕ The Create new Navigation Configuration window closes. You can now customize the new navigation. In the How-To Create Sales Item Navigation, we explain how to create a sales item navigation and which tabs you can insert.
  15. Tap on [Save] to apply your changes.7_EN.png⮕ Your sales item navigation has been saved. In the overview, you can see how many navigations the sales item navigation contains.8_EN.png

If you are in the cash register and the time starts at which your time-dependent navigation becomes active, you will need to reload the cash register view.
