This How-To describes new functions and workflows that are only available in enforePOS 2. This version is exclusively available to customers participating in the enforePOS 2 Early Access program.
The sales item navigation allows you to determine how and where your sales items are displayed in your cash register. Use sales categories, browse categories, product lists, and more to organize your sales items in the way that works best for you.
With enforePOS, you can create sales item navigations and easily apply them to all your cash registers. You only need to make changes once, and they are automatically applied to all your devices.
In this How-To, we will show you how to create such a configuration.
Create Sales Item Navigation
Open Sales Items in the POS menu.
Switch to Sales Item Navigation.
Tap on [+ Add Navigation Configuration]. ⮕ The Create new Navigation Configuration window opens.
Name your configuration.
Optionally, enter a description for your configuration.
Tap on . ⮕ The window for creating a new sales item navigation opens.
Tap on [+ Add Tab...] in the upper left corner to add a new tab. ⮕ The Create new Tab window opens.
Choose what kind of tab you want to create:
Manual Content: Define sales items and their order manually.
Tap on a sales item or function in the manual grid to delete it.
Tap on [Remove Item].
Confirm with [Yes].
Dynamic Content

In the right pane in the Content tab, select sales categories, browse categories, brands or tags you want to add to the tab.
In the right pane, switch to the Display tab and make the settings for the tab. Here we explain which settings you can make.
Product List

Select a product list from the Items tab in the right area. ⮕ The sales items are displayed in the left area.

Storefront
You can create a storefront after creating all the tabs you want. This feature enables you to generate links to your existing tabs, which makes it easier for your staff members to access specific sales items, such as discounted "Specials". To create a storefront, proceed as follows:

Select navigation targets in the Content tab in the right area. You can create recommendations, top products, and highlight products.
Tap on next to each category to change the naming.
Our Recommendations
Select existing tabs that you want to link here. You can set multiple navigation targets and add images to them.
Tap on [Navigation Targets]. ⮕ The Navigation Targets window opens.
Tap on [+ Add new link].
Select one of the displayed items. ⮕ The navigation link has been created and is displayed in the overview.
Tap on the navigation link. ⮕ A window opens.
Name the navigation link.
Change the navigation target if necessary.
Add an image.
Enter a description.
Tap on in the upper right corner. ⮕ The settings have been adopted.
Add more navigation targets by tapping [+ Add new link], or complete your entry by tapping [Confirm].
You can change the order of the navigation links by tapping the three bars on the right and moving the items.
Select a product list. ⮕ The sales items are displayed in the overview.
Browse Tree
Using a Browse Tree, you can create a tab that allows you to browse a sales or browse category and its subcategories.
Requirement
You have created at least one sales or browse category

In the right area, in the Items tab, select a sales category.
Confirm with . ⮕ The sales category as well as any existing subcategories and the sales items belonging to this sales category are displayed in the left area.
Tab bar
Use the tab bar to create tabs that have multiple levels. How you design these tabs is completely up to you.

Create more tabs if necessary.
In the right pane, in the Items tab, select a sales item you want to add to the subtab.
Tap on a sales item until it is displayed tilted.
Drag the sales item to the position on the left where you want to place it.
Display Tab
In the right area, switch to the Display tab. Here you can make settings for the display of the tab:
Name: Change the name of the tab.
Icon: Change the icon of the tab.
Display mode: Choose how you want your sales items to be displayed. You can choose between Buttons, Tiles, List, Cards Landscape and Cards Portrait.
Size: Choose the size of the displayed sales items. You have the choice between Smaller, Regular and Larger.
Aspect Ratio: Choose in which aspect ratio the images of the sales items should be displayed.
Adjustment: Decide whether to crop or fit the images.
Details: Specify which additional information should be displayed under the sales items.
Show Price: Choose whether to display the price.
The settings vary depending on the type of content you selected when you created the tab.
Save Sales Item Navigation
Tap on [Save] when you have created all the tabs you need.⮕ You have successfully created your sales item navigation. It is displayed in the Sales Item Navigation area.
