This How-To describes new functions and workflows that are only available in enforePOS 2. This version is exclusively available to customers participating in the enforePOS 2 Early Access program.
There are sales items that are available in different versions, such as a pair of shoes that come in sizes 36 to 44, or a dress that comes in red, green, and blue and in sizes S, M, L, and XL. These sales items (the individual variants) can be part of a variant group to which they belong.
In this How-To, you will learn how to create a variant group in enforePOS. Proceed as follows:
Open Sales Items in the POS menu.
Tap on in the upper right corner. ⮕ The Define type of sales item window opens.
Select Variant Group. ⮕ The New variant group window opens.
Enter a name for the variant group in the Identity step. In this example, we assign the name Jeans.
Optionally enter a short description.
Tap on [Next].
Tap on [+ Add browsing feature] in the Browsing features step to add a search feature.
By assigning browsing features to the variant group, it is easier to find variants of a sales item in the cash register, such as a drink by size.
Enter a feature name in the Add feature... field. In our example we enter Jeans Size.
Tap on Create new Feature. ⮕ The Create Feature window opens.
Select the desired feature type. In our example we choose Size.
Select the feature unit. In our example we choose Numeric.
Tap on [+ Add abstract values].
Enter a value. In our example, we enter size 36.
Confirm with .
Repeat steps 13 - 14 to add more values.
In our example, we want our sales item Jeans to be available in sizes 36, 34 and 32. Accordingly, we add to our feature Size the additional values 34 and 32.
Tap on [Save] when you have added all desired values to your feature.
Repeat steps 9 - 16 to add more feature names and values.
Tap on [Complete]. ⮕ You have created a variant group.
The next step is to add variants to your variant group. This How-To will show you how to do this.
