Activate or Deactivate Tip Input for various Payment Methods

In this How-To, we will show you which settings you need to make to activate or deactivate the tip input for the various payment methods.

1. In the POS menu, open Sales > Sales Settings.
2. Tap on Payment.

Tip for Cash Payment

In the Cash section, enable the Allow Tipping option if you want to allow tipping for cash payments.

Tip for Card Payment

In the Card Payment section, enable the Allow Tipping option if you want to allow tipping for manual card payments.

In addition, make the following setting for integrated devices (e.g. for the customer display with payment function on the enforeDasher 3) or connected devices (e.g. for the enforePayPad on the enforeComet) to activate or deactivate tipping:

• Built-in Devices

  1. Tap on Built-in.
  2. Tap on Customer display with payment function.⮕ The Device details window opens.
  3. Tap on Settings.⮕ The Settings window opens.
  4. Activate the Tip option if you want the enforeDasher 3 to allow entering a tip for card payments.
  5. Restart your enforeDasher 3 for the changes to take effect.

• Connected Devices

  1. Tap on Connected.
  2. Tap on enforePayPad.⮕ The Device details window opens.
  3. Tap on Settings. 2_EN⮕ The Settings window opens.
  4. Activate the Tip option if you want to be able to enter a tip when paying by card with the enforeComet
  5. Restart your enforeComet for the changes to take effect.

Tip for Manual Card Payment

In the Manual Card Payment section, enable the Allow Tipping option if you want to allow tipping for manual card payments.

Tip for Payment with Gift Card

In the Gift Card section, enable the Allow Tipping option if you want to allow tipping for gift card payments.
