This How-To describes new functions and workflows that are only available in enforePOS 2. This version is exclusively available to customers participating in the enforePOS 2 Early Access program.
In this How-To, you will learn how to start the business day of the entire POS location, and how to then start the staff member shift and the business day at the cash register.
Requirements
First, you start the location business day as the owner or authorized staff member. Proceed as follows:
Tap on Inactive to also display the cash registers and staff members whose business day or shift has not been started.
Your staff members can start their shift when they log in at the cash register. Staff members can start their shift in two ways: either via Accounting or via the cash register view (POS menu: Register).
If you have cash management enabled for the staff member, you will now be asked to count your cash. Continue with step 4. If not, you have successfully started your shift and the staff report is displayed.
If you have cash management enabled for the staff member, you have also started the device business day by starting the shift.
If you have cash management enabled for the staff member, you will now be asked to count your cash. Continue with step 3. If not, you have successfully started the shift.
If you have cash management enabled for the staff member, you have also started the device business day by starting the shift.
Next, the business day of the cash register (device Business Day) can be started. This is possible either via the Accounting or the Register view (POS menu: Register).
To start the business day of your cash register via Accounting, proceed as follows:
If you are working with a connected cash drawer, we recommend that you start the business day via the Register view so that you can assign the cash drawer afterwards. You can find out more here.
If cash management is activated at the cash register, you will now be asked to count your cash. Continue with step 3. If not, you have successfully started your business day and are now ready to take orders.
