My Functions - Settle via Quick Checkout

This How-To describes new functions and workflows that are only available in enforePOS 2. This version is exclusively available to customers participating in the enforePOS 2 Early Access program.

In enforePOS, you have the option to pay for an order using a preconfigured payment method. You will learn how to do that in this How-To.

Add Quick Checkout Function to Basket

To add the Quick Checkout function to the basket, proceed as follows:

  1. In the POS menu, open More > [Name of your cash register] at the top right.
  2. Switch to the My functions tab.
  3. Tap on [+ Add Function].Capture d’écran 2024-04-09 à 17.01.25.png⮕ The Add function window opens.

  7. Activate the Ask for cash amount given option if you want to be able to enter how much cash you have received from your customer.
  8. Tap on [Next].Capture d’écran 2024-04-10 à 09.09.13.png⮕ The Display step opens.
  9. Enter a name for the function in the Name field.
  10. Specify how the function is to be displayed in the Display field.
  11. Tap on [Complete].Capture d’écran 2024-04-10 à 09.10.15.png⮕ You have added and configured the Quick checkout function to the basket.

If your customers usually pay in cash, you could add the Quick Checkout function to your top and bottom basket toolbars. In case of cash payment with the exact amount, for example, deactivate the Ask for given cash amount option in the function in the upper basket toolbar and activate this option in the lower basket toolbar for cash payment with non-matching amount. This allows you to optimally adapt the quick checkout function to your workflow.

Settling an Order via Quick Checkout

To cash in an order via quick checkout, proceed as follows:

In our example, we have set the Cash payment method in the Quick Checkout function and activated the Ask for given cash amount option.

  1. Open an order taking module in the POS menu (e.g. Sales > Over the counter).
  2. Take an order.
  3. Tap on Quick Checkout.Capture d’écran 2024-04-10 à 09.13.03.png

If the Ask for given cash amount option is deactivated, you will be taken directly to the Receipt window. Continue with step 7.

⮕ The Given cash amount window opens.
  4. Enter the given amount of cash. In our example, the customer has given €8.

If the customer give a matching amount, tap directly on Return.svg. You will then be taken directly to the Receipt window. Continue with step 7.

  5. Confirm with Return.svg.Capture d’écran 2024-04-10 à 09.15.03.png⮕ The Cash sales window opens.
  6. Tap on [Next].Capture d’écran 2024-04-10 à 09.17.52.png⮕ The Receipt window opens.

If you want to carry out the quick settlement even faster, you have the option of automatically printing out the receipt, sending it by email or not issuing it at all. To do this, set the document output mode in the configurations of your order taking modules. We explain to you how to do this in this How-To.

  7. Specify how you would like to issue the receipt. In our example, we choose Printout.
  8. Tap on [Complete].Capture d’écran 2024-04-10 à 09.16.38.png⮕ You have successfully completed the quick checkout.
