Book Orders on Tables

In enforePOS you can create numbered tables as resources and work with the table numbers when placing orders. In this How-To, you will find different ways to work with orders at tables.

Work with floor plan and table numbers

Requirements

In this example, there is a floor plan with 2 areas (Great Hall and Terrace). This restaurant also works with courses and seats.

  1. In the POS menu, open Sales > Register.
  2. When the Active Orders overview opens, select the Floor Plan overview.mceclip0.png
  3. Tap a table in the floor plan to book an order on this table.mceclip1.png⮕ The cash register opens.

  5. Tap on OrderSwitcher-15.svg to take more orders at other tables.mceclip3.png ⮕ The Floor Plan overview opens again and you can select the next table.

In the How-To Take and Check Out Multiple Orders from the Floor Plan, you will learn how to book multiple orders on one table, e.g. when two couples sit at a table of four, and how to start the payment process directly from the floor plan.

Work without floor plan with table numbers

If you are working without a floor plan but have created tables as resources, you can also select the tables in the Resources overview.

  1. In the POS menu, open Sales > Register.
  2. Tap on OrderSwitcher-15.svg.mceclip6.png
  3. Switch to the Resources overview.
The number of seats at the table is indicated by the small flag.mceclip7.png

  5. Take the orders.

  6. Tap on OrderSwitcher-15.svg to take more orders at other tables.mceclip10.png ⮕ The Resources overview opens again and you can select the next table. Tables with active orders are displayed in light blue. Tables displayed in white are still free.mceclip11.png

Assign Tables via Tags

Requirements

If you have already taken an order in the cash register, you can also add the table using the [+ Tags] button.

  1. In the POS menu, open Sales > Register.
  2. Tap on [+ Tags].mceclip12.png⮕The Select Tags window opens.
  3. Select the table to which you want to assign the order.
  4. Tap on [Apply] to confirm your selection.
mceclip13.png⮕ The table is displayed as a label in the cash register.mceclip14.png

In the Select Tags window, you cannot see if there is already an order assigned to the table or if the table is free. If you select a table in the Select Tags window that already has an order assigned to it, the order will be booked as a second order on the table.

You can only see how many orders are assigned to a table in the floor plan or in the Resources overview. mceclip15.png mceclip16.png
