If your coffee shop or restaurant allows customers to order and pay first, and then pick up their order at the counter, you can issue numbered pickup slips in enforePOS. Guests can sit down and, as soon as their number is called, pick up their order. In this How-To, you will learn what settings you have to make to issue pickup slips.
Requirements
You work with a Gastro cash register
Set up Pickup Sales Type for POS Location
In the POS menu, open Order Management > Order Settings.
Select the POS location where you want to set up the Pickup sales type.
Tap on in the header to edit the sales channel. ⮕ The Edit Sales Channel window opens.
Tap on Pickup. ⮕ The Pickup Options window opens.
Select the pickup type Immediately.
Select the Only Sales Items with "Pickup" Sales Type option if you want to offer only sales items for pickup that have the Pickup sales type.
Tap on . ⮕ The window closes. The settings are applied in the Edit Sales Channel window.
Tap on to save your settings. ⮕ You have successfully activated the Pickup sales type at your POS location. An additional Pickup tab appears in the POS location settings.
Activate Pickup Slip
Switch to the Pickup tab.
Activate the Pickup Slip option. ⮕ The Configure Pickup Slip window opens.
Choose how you want to issue the pickup slip. In our example we select Print.
To save your selection, tap on .⮕ You have successfully activated the pickup slip.
Set up Pickup Sales Type in the Cash Register
If you have enabled the Pickup sales type for the POS location, the next step is to enable pickup at the cash register where you want to work with pickup slips.
In the POS menu, open Sales > Sales Settings.
Tap on the Pickup sales type under General. ⮕ The Pickup Options window opens.
Select the pickup type Immediately.
If you have both Immediately and Scheduled enabled as pickup types on your sales channel and in the sales settings, enable the Immediate Pickup is Default option to work with immediate pickup.
Tap on to save your selection.
Under General, change the standard sales type to Pickup if you want to sell all sales items as pickup sales items.
Set up Printer for Pickup Slips
In the POS menu, open Sales > Sales Settings.
Tap on Device Usage.
Tap on the Pickup Slip Printer field.
Select a printer.
It is possible to use the built-in printer of the enforeDasher as a receipt printer, assembly slip printer, and pickup slip printer.
Print Pickup Slip
In the POS menu, open Sales > Register.
Select all sales items for which you want to print a pickup slip.
If you have not set Pickup as the standard sales type, you must first switch to the Pickup tab in the cash register and then select the sales items. In order for the Pickup tab to be displayed, it is important that you do not use the category browser as the active cash register layout. Make sure that the sales items for which you want to print a pickup slip have the Pickup sales type.
⮕ The Immediate Pickup Options window opens.
Select a pickup location.
Confirm your selection with .
Tap on [Take Order]. ⮕ The pickup slip is printed. The pickup slips are numbered sequentially from 1-9999. When 9999 pickup slips have been printed, the count restarts at 1.
If you want to print an assembly slip in addition to the pickup slip, activate the Print Assembly Slip option in the POS menu under Order Management > Order Settings > Assembly Locations overview > (Select assembly location) > Pickup tab and select the appropriate printer in the Assembly Slip Printer field.
