In Germany, the tax rate differs between inhouse and take away sales, especially when selling meals. The reduced tax rate of 7% currently applies to certain take away sales.
Check with your tax advisor to determine which of your sales items qualify for the reduced tax rate.
Requirements
The standard sales type you have set for your cash register in the sales settings determines how you perform a Take Away sale in the cash register.
A Take Away sale is indicated by the item , as well as by a blue bar next to the sales item. You can change the dining option both for individual sales items of an order and for an entire order.
If you have set Take Away as the default dining option, every order will be automatically created as a Take Away sale.
If you have set Inhouse as the default dining option, each order will automatically be created as an Inhouse sale. You can change the dining option for individual sales items and for the entire order. We will explain how to do that here.
If you have set Ask for every new Order as the default, you must first select for each order whether it is a Take Away or an Inhouse sale.
