In this How-To, you will learn which settings you can define for your accounting.
Use cash ledger: Activate this option if you want to use the cash ledger after the end of the business day.
In this area, you can see all cash containers of your POS location. These are Connected Cash Drawer, Cash Drawer, Wallet, Cash vault and Petty Cash. Under Overall, you can define basic settings that are automatically applied to all cash containers, unless you have defined individual settings for each cash container. Show summary after completion: Activate this option if you want the location report to be displayed after the location Business Day has been completed.
Print report after completion: Activate this option if you want the location report to be printed automatically after the location Business Day has been completed.
Reporting options: Use this field to specify which information should be displayed on the location report. The options Sales, Payment methods and Cash are selected by default. The options Transactions, Categories and Sales items are also available.
Orders must be completed before closing: Enable this option if you want open orders to be processed on the device before the end of a business day.
Show summary after completion: Activate this option if you want the Z-report to be displayed after the device Business Day has been completed.
Print report after completion: Activate this option if you want the Z-report to be printed automatically after the device Business Day has been completed.
Reporting options: Use this field to specify which information is displayed on the Z-report. The options Sales, Payment methods and Cash are selected by default. The options Transactions, Categories and Sales items are also available.
Orders must be transferred before finishing: Enable this option if you want a staff member who has open orders at the end of their shift to first transfer their open orders to another staff member.
Show summary after completion: Activate this option if you want the staff report to be displayed after the end of the shift.
Print report after completion: Activate this option if the staff report should be printed automatically at the end of the shift.
Reporting options: Use this field to specify which information should be displayed on the staff report. The options Sales, Payment methods and Cash are selected by default. The options Transactions, Categories and Sales items are also available.
External targets using safebags: Use this field to select the external targets for which safebags should be created or prepared during a cash transaction. You can choose between a bank account and a cash supplier.
External targets requiring target accounts: In this field, you select external targets, which are divided into several individual targets.
Reuse denominations: Check this option if you want to use the same denominations for cash withdrawals that you used when counting cash at the end of the business day.
Safebag identifiers must be provided by the user: Enable this option if you want the user to manually provide an identifier for the safebag. If this option is disabled, a continuous safebag identifier is automatically generated.
Constraints : Define restrictions for the safebag identifier in this field. For more information on the safebag identifier restrictions, see this How-To.
Maximum cash amount per safebag: In this field, define a maximum amount of cash that can be in a safebag.
Safebags need to be manually marked as ready for pickup: Activate this option if you want the status for a safebag ready for pickup to be activated manually.
Verification required: Check this option if you want one of your staff members at your POS location to review the safebag before you can complete the safebag creation.
Counting protocols are required for safebag transactions: Check this option if you want the amount to be entered via a denomination when creating a safebag.
Print safebag receipt: Activate this option if you want to print a receipt for your safebag.
Number of copies: Use this field to specify the number of copies for a safebag receipt.
Print safebag rejection receipt: Check this option if you want to print a receipt for a rejected safebag.
Number of copies: Use this field to specify the number of copies for a safebag rejection receipt.
To print a safebag receipt or safebag rejection receipt, you must assign a page printer to your cash register in the POS menu under Sales > Sales Settings > Device Usage > Page Printer field. An overview of external devices compatible with enforePOS can be found here.
