This How-To describes new functions and workflows that are only available in enforePOS 2. This version is exclusively available to customers participating in the enforePOS 2 Early Access program.
In this How-To, we will explain how to create safebags from a cash withdrawal, how to manage safebags, and how to define restrictions for safebag identifiers.
Create Safebags
Unlike petty cash and cash vaults, safebags are not added manually. Instead, they are created during a cash withdrawal. A Safebag is used for either a cash transaction to a bank account or to a cash supply company.
In the following example, we have finished the shift and are making a cash withdrawal after the cash count.
Requirements
You have defined your bank account or cash supplier as an external target with safebag in the Accounting Settings > Cash Transfers tab
You have selected Bank Account or Cash Supplier in the Accounting Settings > Cash Management tab > (select your cash container in the Cash Container area) > Drawing targets outside of POS location field in the Cash Transactions tab
Tap on [Cash Drawing].
Choose a target with safebag. In our example, we choose Bank Account (with Safebag).
Choose a bank account.
Enter the amount.
Choose a reason for the cash transaction.
Optionally enter a description.
Tap on [Complete].
Tap on [End Shift].
Tap on .
Tap on Safebags in the left column. ⮕ The created safebag is displayed on the right.
Manage Safebags
Tap on the safebag. The contents of each tab are described in the following:
Summary
This tab displays the staff member who marked the safebag as prepared and ready, as well as the denomination and the total amount of the safebag.
Transactions
In this tab, all transactions related to this safebag are listed.
Tap on [Picked up] to mark the safebag as picked up. The safebag will then disappear from the list. Alternatively, you can tap on on the right side of the safebag list to mark the safebag as picked up.
Tap on [Reject] if you want to delete the safebag.
To be able to reject a safebag, a cash vault is required.
