If you haven’t created your staff members during the initial installation in enforePOS, you can do it at a later time. In this How-To, we'll show you how to do it.
Requirements
You are logged in as business account owner with your staff member account
In the POS menu, open Business Account > Staff Members. ⮕ All staff members created so far are displayed.
Tap [+] in the upper right corner to create a new staff member. ⮕ The Create new Staff Member window opens.
Choose here the way you want to add your new staff member. You can create new staff members either by email address or by username and password.
Create staff members with an email address
Tap the [Email address] option if you want to create your new staff member using an email address. ⮕ The Staff Member account with email address window opens.
Fill in the following fields with the requested information:
Username: Enter the user name of the new staff member here.
Login Email: Add the email address of the staff member here.
Job Title: Optionally enter the job title of the staff member here.
Employee Number: Optionally assign a number to your new staff member here.
Tap on [Invite Staff Member].
Enter your password that you set when you created your business account to authorize the process.
You are authorized to create new staff members only as a business account owner.
Tap on [Confirm]. ⮕ You have successfully invited the newly created staff member. The staff member will now receive an email with an invitation for a staff member account.
Accept invitation
Your staff member will receive an invitation by email, which he has to accept in order to be fully created in enforePOS and to be able to use his staff member account. The following steps are necessary for this:
Your staff member opens the inbox of the specified email address.
Your staff member clicks the Accept invitation button. ⮕ The enfore website opens in the browser.
Your staff member sets his desired password.
Your staff member repeats his set password.
The password must consist of at least 8 characters. In addition, known weak passwords such as "1234" or "password" cannot be used. We recommend the use of a strong password.
Your staff member taps on [Register Account]. ⮕ The registration is completed. Your staff member can log in to enforePOS with their email address and the password you set.
Create staff member with username and password
Tap the Username and Password option if you want to create your new staff member this way. ⮕ The Staff member account with username and password window opens.
Fill in the following fields with the requested information:
Name: Enter the user name of the new staff member here.
Username: Set the username for the new staff member here.
Job Title: Optionally enter the job title of the staff member here.
Employee Number: Optionally give your new staff member a number.
Tap on [Define password].⮕ The Your Login Password window opens.
Enter your password.
Tap on [Confirm]. ⮕ The Define initial password window opens.
Assign an initial password for your staff member. As soon as the staff member logs in with his username and password for the first time, he is prompted to change the password.
Tap on [Activate Staff Member].⮕ The new staff member has been created and appears in the overview.
