This How-To describes new functions and workflows that are only available in enforePOS 2. This version is exclusively available to customers participating in the enforePOS 2 Early Access program.
In this How-To, you will learn how to work with the keypad.
When you use the keypad to make an entry in the cash register, you always perform the action for the next sales item that you add to the basket. Alternatively, you can use the keypad to edit sales items that are already in your basket.

2 - You can also enter a number first using the numeric keypad. Then select a modifier (see 1).
3 - If you have added functions to your keypad toolbar, you have quick access to these functions via the keypad toolbar (e.g. Lock Screen, Switch User, Issue Voucher or Add Negative Item).
Enter Number of Units
Tap on .
Enter the number of units. You can either select a preconfigured value (left) or enter a value using the numeric keypad.
If you enter the value using the numeric keypad, confirm your entry with .
⮕ The Keypad window closes. The number of units is displayed in the basket.
Select a sales item. ⮕ The sales item is added to the basket in the specified quantity.
Enter Numeric Identifier
Tap on .
Select whether you want to enter a barcode ( 1 ), an article number ( 2 ) or a customer number ( 3 ). In our example, we enter an article number.
Enter the corresponding number using the numeric keypad.
Confirm with .⮕ The Keypad window closes. The sales item with the entered article number has been added to the basket.
Enter Price for "Miscellaneous" Sales Item
Tap on .
Enter a price using the numeric keypad. Enter only the digits of the amount (no decimal point).
Confirm with .⮕ The Keypad window closes. The sales item with the specified price has been added to the basket.
Enter Percentage Discount
Tap on .
Enter a percentage discount. You can either select a predefined value (left) or enter a value using the numeric keypad (right).
You can also enter a percentage discount as a decimal value. To do this, close the keypad, select a sales item in the cash register and tap on the item in the basket. Then tap on in the Edit Line Item window and then on No discount , enter the decimal percentage value and confirm with .
Confirm with .
Select a reason for the discount.⮕ The window closes. The discount is displayed in the basket.
Select a sales item.⮕ The sales item is added to the basket. The discount has been applied to the sales item.
Keypad Function Bar
The keypad function bar gives you quick access to functions such as Lock Screen, Switch User or Add Negative Item.
