In this How-To you will learn how to change the name, the type and the POS location of your cash register. Furthermore, you will find information about the serial number, device ID and register number of your cash register.
Requirements
You have already created a POS location
In the POS menu, open Sales > Sales Settings.
Tap on in the upper right corner. ⮕ The Edit Register Identity window opens.
Change the Name of the Cash Register
Tap on the field that contains the name of your cash register.
Make the desired change.
Tap .
Tap in the upper right corner.
⮕ The window closes and the name of the cash register has been changed.
Give your cash register a unique name so that when you work with multiple cash registers, you can immediately identify which cash register you are currently using.
Gastro registers support, for example, catering businesses that work with order processing, courses, and assembly locations.
Sales registers are designed for all other businesses, e.g. retail, hairdressers, kiosks, shoemakers, etc. Bistros, cafés and coffee shops can also use the Sales register type, because the floor plan and orders by table numbers are also supported by the Sales register.
To change the register type:
Tap the [Register Type] field. ⮕ A selection menu opens.
Select the desired register type.
Tap on in the upper right corner.
⮕ The register type was successfully changed.
Change POS location
Tap on the [POS Location] field. ⮕ A selection menu opens.
Select the location where the cash register is located.
